The Quichua Foundation is an expression of our wish to give back to our community.
In 1998, we held our first holiday celebration for children outside of Otavalo, Ecuador. The event grew, and one year we reached over 650 children. The celebration included games and rides, treats and food, holiday gifts of toys, clothing and shoes, and a traditional music concert. Over the years we have received support and donations from friends, family and schools to help realize the dream of meeting some basic needs of children in the community.

Our current plans include a drop-in after school center for children in a community just outside Otavalo, where we will provide children’s books in Spanish and educational toys.
We currently have over 200 books, thousands of articles of clothing and hundreds of pairs of shoes awaiting shipment to Ecuador. Awaiting also is a building in which to realize the center. Future plans include opening a well clinic for expecting mothers and children ages birth to five. If you have an interest in helping, please contact us. We would love to talk with you.
