Rafael was introduced to the world of music through the wind instruments of his native land. At sixteen took his first guitar lesson. Rafael is well versed in all Andean instruments including charango, bandolin, the entire range of Andean flutes, as well as in bass, guitar and voice. He toured Canada, coast to coast, for four years before joining Sisai in 1997. Rafael is a songwriter and completed two full length recordings previous to recording “Wind” and “Beginnings” with Sisai. he is currently recording a solo album.
